Question: Was Jesus tortured by Satan in hell after his physical death on the cross? I read in the Bible that Jesus descended and that he did preach in the lower regions, but there are some who say Jesus suffered in hell and that was part of the debt for our sins. I can find no scripture that supports the claim that he suffered in hell.Answer: I don't know of any evidence that would substantiate a theory that Jesus suffered any more after the crucifixion. When he said, "It is finished," it meant exactly that. His body was glorified and suffers no more. His remark to the repentant thief was "Today shalt thou be with me in Paradise."
