Question: I read that book 'Christianity in Crisis' and noticed Pastor Cho was included in the book as one of the ministers who teaches the "Word of Faith" doctrine. Do you know anything about Pastor Cho? The reason I'm asking is that he is gonna be a guest speaker at my church (Assembly of God) and I'm disturbed by this. Just recently, I left my former church because the Word of Faith teaching began to be preached there. Please help. I asked at my church and didn't really get straight answers.Answer: There has been a lot of good done for Christ in revealing the dangers of the Word of Faith movement through Christianity in Crisis. Thank God for the numerous souls who have been rescued from some of the heresies taught by the leaders of that movement.
It is true that Pastor Cho has changed in a lot of his teachings. He is invited to speak often because of his great success in phenomenal church growth. However, he has been teaching things that are very mystical and borderline (if not explicitly) New Age in nature.
