Practicum At registration, each student is required to choose a credited practicum. This program is designed to experience practical hands-on opportunities to prepare for the ministry. Practicums include jail ministry, nursing home service, witnessing, children's work and shut-in visitation. |
Outreach Groups
Many students are able to apply their talents and
abilities to ministry outreach groups. A warm welcome has been extended to Ozark Bible Institute by many
churches across the United States to minister in preaching, singing, testifying and
encouraging fellowship. Alumni pastors have faithfully supported this outreach and contributed
greatly to the spiritual development of the student body.

InternshipsDuring the summer months, Ozark Bible Institute has focused attention on placing upper classmen in various churches to help carry out daily pastoral duties. This credited program is designed to better acquaint students with the responsibilities of the ministry while working alongside pastors and missionaries already in their field of labor. Current students have the opportunity to participate in the summer mission intern program by ministering and laboring on home and foreign soil. Many students and graduates have had the opportunity to be a part of Camp Peniel, serving as teachers, counselors, cooks, maintenance workers, night speakers, and children's church workers. |
Student Service
Upper classmen are given the opportunity to participate in church services for practical hands-on
experience. They are responsible for conducting a complete church service, which includes
leadership of the service, song leading, prayer time, special music and ministering of the
Word of God. This opportunity has been helpful to students as they prepare for the ministry.
