Pray for this country, the leaders here, President Chen plans a March 20 referendum to ask voters if they want to tolerate China deploying missiles - nearly 500 so far - just across the Taiwan Strait. This vote on a new referendum and will make Main Land China very angry and could cause a war. Taiwan doesn't want to be intimidated by a steady buildup of missiles. Also, Mr. Chen may be cynically using this growing military threat to enhance his reelection chances next year. Taiwan really wants to be a free country but Chine has missiles aimed at Taiwan to make them do, as China wants. Simply put, China doesn't want Taiwan to start using referendums. The island nation's voters might someday declare official independence and inspire Tibet, Hong Kong, or other parts of modern China to split off. China wants to keep a credible military threat to prevent a vote in favor of what already exists.

Please pray for the trip that Brother and Sister Hill as well as Brother Pahlman, are taking this January to Taiwan, Thailand and Myanmar. They need the strength of the lord and the leading of the Holy Ghost. I pray many lives will be touched through their effort.

Also I need a dedicated worker who would be willing to offer one year unto the Lord on the mission field. The Mormons send their young people for two years, surely a Holiness Pentecostal young person could put aside a year for the Lord. I was so blessed when Hanna Young came and spent a month and she was a great blessing to everyone here. I know the Lord will use her in greater things because she gave of her time freely. The Lord will bless her mightily. Once a person spends time on a mission field they will return a different person with a better understanding how to serve the one true Living God.
