Question: What does the Bible verse mean when Christ said, "In my Father's house are many mansion"? Does it mean there are many heavens or areas of heavens? Where will Christians/Believers be when the appointed time comes to be with Christ?Answer: Yes! While John 14:2 does not seem to refer to many heavens, it certainly could refer to many areas of heaven. According to some Greek translations, I believe it can be assumed that Jesus is telling us that in His Father's home, or family home, (heaven) there are many mansions, abodes, or residences. Consider also that the Father may have far more awaiting us than we have ever considered.
Concerning the question "Where will Christians/Believers be when the appointed time comes to be with Christ," obviously we will be with Christ in heaven.
Consider the following scripture references: 1 Corinthians 15:51-58; 2 Corinthians 5:1-8; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; and Revelation chapter 20.
