Part 3

What To Do Now That You Are Saved

1. Talk to God in prayer every day.

2. Read some part of the Bible every day. This is your daily spiritual food. Start with reading the Gospel of John. Next read The First Epistle of John near the back of your Bible -just 5 short chapters.

3. Choose always to obey the Bible and the promptings of the Holy Spirit.

4. Attend a church that teaches the Bible and holy living and practices it.

5. Request to be baptized in water by immersion (the Bible way - Acts 2:38; Mark 16:15-16; Acts 19:4-5).

6. Make friends of Christians who live the life (1 John 3:14).

7. Let others know that you have left the ways of sin and come over to the Lord's side. Never be ashamed of the Lord nor to be identified with Him (Mark 8:38; Romans 1:16).

8. Be filled with the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised the "baptism with the Holy Spirit" (Luke 24:49; Acts 2:38-39; Ephesians 5:18-19). It is for you. If you do not understand it, ask us to explain it from the Bible.

Why You Need To Attend Church Regularly

1. God said, "Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy" (Exodus 20:8). It is a day to cease work and make the day sacred by devoting it to the worship and service of God.

2. God's Word says, "Not forsaking, the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is: but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching" (Hebrews 10:25).

3. By not artending church regularly, you are saying that other things are more important. Other things take the place of God on the Lord's day and usually in other areas of the person's life as well. Do money or pleasure become your god?

4. By not attending church regularly, you are teaching others, including your family and neighbors, by your example, to disobey God and are saying that it is not all that important.

5. By staying away, you are saying that God's Word, His purposes and the work of the church are not important to you.

6. By not attending regularly, you have joined the ranks of those helping to close 3500 churches a year in the United States.

7. When you call on Him, do you want Him to treat you and your concerns like you are treating Him?

8. Worship is written upon the heart of man by the Hand of God. Do you obey what he has written there?

9. Worship is the first step to wisdom.

You Can ... But You Don't!

You can worship God in the woods...but you don't!
You can worship God on the lakes...but you don't!
You can worship God in your auto...but you don't!

You can worship God in a different church each Sunday...
but you don't!
You can worship God by sending the children to Sunday School...
The best place to worship God on Sunday is in church.

"No man can serve two masters. You cannot serve God and mammon" (money - Matthew 6:24). You cannot serve God and the devil.

You cannot walk with God and carelessly run with the devil.

Go with God. Jesus said, "He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathers not with me scatters abroad" (Matthew 12:30).

Do not expect to "sow your wild oats" and have a crop failure.
